Popular OC Eatery Will Open at Newly Renovated Project with Full Bar, Dinner Menu

COSTA MESA, CA, January 28, 2019 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Costa Mesa’s Outpost Kitchen will open their second restaurant at 3420 Bristol Street in Costa Mesa, CA. The popular eatery has signed a lease for 3,000 square feet (sf) on the ground floor of the building for their new location.

Brokerage professionals Jennifer Pelino, Rick Kaplan, Robert Lambert, and Brian Booth from Cushman & Wakefield’s Irvine office serve as the exclusive leasing agents for the property and represented landlord South Coast Plaza in the transaction. The tenant was represented by Michael Brandon of Brandon-California.

3420 Bristol Street is a seven-story, 66,835-sf office building that has been undergoing extensive renovations by the landlord to reposition the property. South Coast Plaza worked with award-winning architecture firm Shubin Donaldson to re-design and re-create the mixed-use building to meet the present-day, high-end demand of today’s coastal tenants and guests. A key tenant at 3420 Bristol is TechSpace, the nation’s premier shared office space and coworking provider, who occupies two full floors. TechSpace members range from startups to established enterprises who enjoy a contemporary ambiance, robust technology infrastructure and a concierge staff providing amenity-rich services.

The new makeover and reconfiguration has revamped the project’s entire outer shell and added covered outdoor patio space, refreshed landscaping, a fully refurbished main lobby, and hip new ground floor retail space. Bay Area-based coffee purveyor Philz Coffee opened their third Orange County location there last month, occupying 2,831 sf on the ground floor.

Outpost Kitchen, which offers locally sourced, organic food with Australian flair, will feature a full bar at their new space and be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

“We are thrilled to be opening our second post in Costa Mesa,” said Jay Lewis, CEO and co-owner of Outpost Kitchen. “We wanted a modern, inspiring creative space where we could expand our menu and launch our bar program. 3420 Bristol’s brand new renovations and prime location are a perfect fit for us and we look forward to bringing our fresh, healthful food with the Aussie traditions of friendly service to the area.”

Robert Lambert, Executive Director at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “This is a fantastic addition to the property. Not only are we providing our tenants and guests with another wonderful amenity, Outpost Kitchen and Philz Coffee will offer a community vibe that is sure to become a dining destination in the South Coast Plaza area.”

3420 Bristol is situated at Bristol Street and Sunflower Avenue, one of the highest profile intersections in Orange County and within walking distance to South Coast Plaza shopping center and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The location also provides immediate accessibility to Interstate 405 via the nearby Bristol Street on/off ramp.

Center Tower Becomes LEED Certified

POSTED ON December 1st, 2009  - POSTED IN Uncategorized

Our entire Class “A” Portfolio was awarded the US Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED-EB Gold Certification for Operations and Maintenance in January 2009. This includes 21-story Plaza Tower, 21-story Center Tower and 17-story Park Tower which comprises over 1.2 million square feet of office space.

Segerstrom officials traveled to Washington, D.C. during 2009 for additional recognition of the LEED-EB Gold Certification for Plaza Tower, Center Tower and Park Tower. They are the first multi-tenant buildings in California, and three of the first four buildings in the United States to be awarded LEED Gold certification by the US Green Building Council for Operations and Maintenance.

“It is always exciting to have an accomplishment that is a first of a kind, especially when it is for something as important as protecting the environment,” said Henry Segerstrom, Managing Partner, C.J. Segerstrom & Sons. “It was an honor to travel back to Washington, D.C. and receive this special recognition by the United States Green Building Council.”

Mr. Segerstrom met personally with Rick Fedrizzi, President, CEO and Founding Chairman of the USGBC. “Buildings are a prime example of how human systems integrate with natural systems,” said Rick Fedrizzi. “The South Coast Plaza project efficiently uses our natural resources and makes an immediate, positive impact on our planet, which will tremendously benefit future generations to come.”

As a part of the Green Building Program the three office towers will reduce the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere by over 9.5 million pounds annually and reduce water consumption by over 3 million gallons annually. This is a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of these buildings.

The 462,200 square foot Center Tower, the other tallest building in Orange County, is located at 650 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, California. Center Tower uses seven thermal storage units for reduced real time pricing of its efficient energy consumption. All the chilled water used during the day to cool the tower is chilled at night when electrical prices are low and stored underground to be used during the heat of the day.
